The Greek goddess of hearth and home. She was a virgin. Hestia also known as Vesta (her roman form) was also called the first and last child of Kronos and Rhea. She was called the first and last child because she was the first child of Kronos and Rhea, when her father Kronos heard the prophecy that one of his child will overthrow him. So, he decided to swallow all his children to prevent that happening. She was the first child so she was naturally was swallowed immediately after birth . When her youngest brother Zeus made Kronos throw up all his children, she was the last to be thrown up. So, she was the first and last child.

As the goddess of hearth and home, her main job was to cook for the rest of the Olympians that live in Mount Olympus (the home of gods). She also received a share of every sacrifice to the gods. She never left Mount Olympus. Both Apollo and Poseidon fell in love with her and asked for hand in marriage, but she refused both of them and asked Zeus to let her remain an eternal maiden like Artemis. Zeus agreed and she took her place as the tender of the royal hearth.
